Hello and welcome to Mandy Eats!

You need to eat to live and if you're not eating well, you're not living well. Follow this 25 year old foodie's adventures in and out of the kitchen as I eat my way through the beautiful Finger Lakes region of upstate NY.

Some completely random facts about myself are I have a Golden Doodle named Annie, I'm trying to gain some enthusiasm for writing my thesis to earn my Master's, and I have no idea what I'm doing with my life (call it a quarter-life crisis), but most importantly, I love the creativity and challenge baking and cooking presents. This blog is still in the baby stages, so please bear with me as this little obsession of mine develops along the way.

What would be your last meal if you ended up on death row?
The Mac & Cheese from Dinosaur BBQ. Fill up a kiddie swimming pool with it and I could die happy.

What is your dirty little food secret?
Pepperoni Hot Pockets

Favorite restaurant in the Finger Lakes?
This is like asking me to name a favorite child (if I had children that is) but if I must - the Crystal Lake Cafe at Americana Vineyards because I've never met a meal there that wasn't amazing.

Favorite home-made meal?
My mom's Sunday pot roast with mashed potatoes and gravy. It's the ultimate comfort food.

Favorite hole-in-the-wall place to eat?
Asia Cuisine Korean & Japanese Restaurant in the Ithaca Commons.

Favorite chain restaurant?
The Cheesecake Factory - except I tend to get decision anxiety there due to the multitude of choices, however it's always tasty (but I would recommend this as a very-once-in-a-while sort of place since the calories are ridiculous for most of the dishes).

If there was only one thing you could eat the rest of your life, what would it be?
Tacos

What's your favorite ethnic cuisine?
Greek...no Mexican...no Greek...gahhh! I can only choose one?!

What camera do you use to take photos and videos?
I mostly use my iPhone5. So fancy I know.
